After having written professionally in my 35-year career in advertising, marketing, and online media, it became time to write something longer and with more substance. The unusual life and turbulent times of May Justus seemed a more than worthy subject. The more I looked into it, the more I realized that Miss Justus was a real mover and shaker, a creator of good trouble in the best ways. I hope this book will be read not only by lovers of historical fiction but also by young adult readers.
The author was raised in Nashville, Tennessee, attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and now lives in St. Louis, Missouri with her partner Mary Ann and their two feline children, Bert and Tovah.
